I meet every Friday with Kaydee, who's teaching me to run the video projector. It's fun, but there is an awful lot to learn! So, we've been piddling around off and on for a couple of months now, and last month Karen was doing the Sunday morning thing, so in spite of being asked if I wanted to set it up on Fridays, I declined because I felt that Karen should do it if she was doing Sunday mornings. She's not as comfy with it as Kaydee is (but definitely more so than I am!). So, today Kaydee
informed me that come this Sunday, I will be handling the laptop during practice, and if it goes okay, also the service. It should be easy - it's just music. Her grandpa is "preaching" so there are no sermon notes to do. But I'm accompanying her grandpa who's singing a closing solo, and I haven't done anything like that in so long, I'm a bit keyed up about that. So Sunday will be a high-adrenaline day for me. But I'm looking forward to it. I don't think God made me to just be a pew warmer. It's been okay for awhile, but I'm getting pretty antsy in the pew! ;)

I'm working at it! Don't want to end up a blubbering burden on one of your doorsteps! ;)

I get it. "Keyed" up. Ha. I didn't know you were a comic genius!
You’re smart stuff, Mom, plus your boys keep you on your toes; you won't be blubbering on anybody's doorstep anytime soon. You’ll do great on Sunday; you are one talented lady!
Love you.
Wow - 2 complements in 2 comments! Thanks. However... Herb called to say his vocal chords aren't in top form, so he won't be singing. But it was fun to practice anyway. The song: "Touch Your People Once Again". His timing was quite - shall we say "personal" - so it was good practice for me to remember how to follow the singer. And Josh - I had to go back and re-read my post to figure out what on earth you were talking about.
Mastering a new skill may be the best defense against dementia/Alzheimer's but deciphering witty and cryptic comments from your children have to place a close second.
Aaron - I hate to burst your bubble; deciphering witty and cryptic comments from my children just confounds me. Witty I enjoy. Cryptic just confuses me, and I give up. So don't waste your time because it will be for naught. Sorry. And I didn't have to play at the end of the service, so that stress was gone. I did the whole song service, but I was FREEZING from nerves by the time I was done. I couldn't get warm until mid-afternoon!
I've been missing your blogging. Come out, come out where ever you are! :)
Love you!
